The festivities also included a live band with talent from Maranatha’s very own alumnus and current faculty, Pat Mesisca ’92. Parents and guests enjoyed line dancing led by different faculty and students. The event also included the close of their week-long online auction.Following the dinner, the Maranatha Performing Arts Department presented the heartwarming production of “Big Fish” in the Ambassador Auditorium. Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film by Tim Burton, “Big Fish” is a rollicking fantasy set in the American South centered around the journey of a father and son’s relationship and the eventual triumph of family love over the struggles of life. The production had everything – dancing elephants, mermaids, gentle giants and one knockout dance number after another! Maranatha had a stellar cast and crew of over 50 students and their set and costumes were breathtaking! It’s an exciting time to be at Maranatha, whether in performing arts, sports, or even just as a fan!Maranatha High School, 169 S.
