first_imgNew Delhi, Mar 15 (PTI) Congress member Jairam Ramesh was today snubbed in Rajya Sabha by Deputy Chairman P J Kurien for asking him to let a JD-U member complete his remarks on the Budget during a disussion on the issue. “I will decide. Do you have to control (the House)? Why are you doing it? I will decide on whether to let him complete or not. This kind of intervention is not good,” an angry Kurien told Ramesh, a former minister. Ramesh also said something in response, which was not audible. It happened when Pawan Verma of JD-U was participating in the debate on the General Budget. Kurien asked him to cut short, saying he can continue tomorrow. At this, Verma said he was about to conclude his speech. However, as Kurien persisted, Ramesh said Verma should be allowed to conclude his remarks, which irked Kurien. PTI AMR AKK AKKlast_img read more
