Photo credit: belizeans.comDiscrimination against Haitian nationals in Dominica is becoming a major concern for the President of the Dominica Haitian Friendship Association Ronald Desire. He said many Dominicans are “skeptical” about associating with Haitians because of the religion “obeah”.But Desiree said not all Haitians practice “obeah” and there is nothing to be worried about.According to Desire “some people are very hypocritical and some people don’t have an open mind. You cannot judge someone based on what you perceive their practices are. If people still have such mentality, I feel sorry for them already.”He said people practice Obeah all over the world.“Some have it stronger than others and Dominica is not less than Haiti in that area. It’s a pity that discrimination is being set forth just because of one’s religion,” he added.Dominica Vibes Newslast_img
