I am looking forward to the challenge.“Being on the board for the last three years, I was part and parcel of the governance restructuring of the PNGRFL as treasurer.“I was also in charge of the finance and audit committee of the PNGRFL and we since 2013 until now have done a lot of reformation, a lot of restructuring.“But it’s a different thing now to actually drive this organization. I’m very very excited at the new challenge,” said Rau.Rau added he was looking forward to working with the PNGRFL team.“The owners of the game are the people of PNG and all the leagues around the country, and I’d like to touch base with them.“As a Papua New Guinean, I’m proud that the board considered my application. I do realize there were very good qualified candidates both national and expatriate who applied for this job.“It comes with a lot of responsibility and I look forward to the challenge that this holds,” said Rau.last_img
