Keep watching the website for further stories and developments. · The Queensland Junior State Cup will be held from July 9-11, check it out for some of our future national and international stars. · The Australian Masters teams are having a ball in South Africa, with games and coaching clinics in Provincial areas as well as the opportunity to see Baboons and other native animals, the Cape of Good Hope, Stellenbosch (the venue for the 2007 World Cup), as well as several top wine areas! The touring party are sending us regular updates on their trip, check out the tour diary for a great read! · This year the NSW Touch will be using a computer program written specifically for the Sydney Championships to complete team registrations. See Touch SA for more information. · The Victorian Touch Association (VTA) is currently seeking written applications from suitably qualified, currently accredited and active coaches for the position of Victorian Men’s and Women’s 30s Coach and Assistant Coach positions. Applications for these positions close Friday 2nd July. · WA Country will be sending a Mixed Open team to compete in the NSW State Cup from December 1-6. The team will be coached by Shannon Brophy from Rockingham. See their website for the full story. · In 1985 the Federation of Touch was formed in Melbourne with Canada, the USA, Fiji, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Australia the inaugural members. The first recognised international game was a test series played between Australia and New Zealand at the South Melbourne Cricket Ground on 23 March 1985.
