He took three wickets from those games at an average of 49.33 and an economy rate of 12.33.Siraj has been top form with the ball in domestic cricket. In his last Ranji Trophy for Hyderabad against Punjab, he picked up seven wickets. I was numb for a few seconds and then I shouted at the top of my voice and hugged my parents. It is my maiden ODI call-up and I am really happy,” Siraj had TOI after being selected.”It is my maiden call-up in ODIs. I just want to go (to Australia) and make it count. I have been waiting for this opportunity for so long. I was mentally prepared that the day I will get the opportunity, I will grab it with both hands. I am really thankful that I am able to impress the selectors. I will not let them and my fans down,” Siraj said, who has been selected for tour of New Zealand as well.advertisementAustralia captain Aaron Finch won the toss and decided to bat first and said his side was unchanged. India skipper Virat Kohli also said that he would have done the same thing if he had won.”We would have batted first as well, looks a great wicket to play on. The conditions are going to be a big factor for us as it’s hot and humid. We were a bit scratchy at Sydney, just to get the one side together. We can’t take Australia lightly in Australia. We like to be in these situations where we get to bounce back as a team.
